How to Get Here
Tom Bodett, of local Homer and Motel 6 fame, wrote that Homer is “as far as you can go without a passport”. Land's End Resort, at the tip of Homer Spit, truly marks the end of the “end of the road”. The terminus of the U.S. highway system is literally the Land's End parking lot.
To get there, follow the Sterling Highway through Homer along the “Bypass” toward Homer Spit. Continue on this road, without ever turning, 4.5 miles out the Homer Spit to the very end of the road, where you will be greeted by our Mermaid and by her attendant fishermen.
